Best projects as a safety in college due to his nice size, along with running and hitting ability………….Attended 2008 U.S. Army Combine…………August 8, 2007, Tulsa World: “Weller inherits a Class 5A Edison team that finished a disappointing 2-8 in 2006 following consecutive playoff appearances. Behind the talent of 6-foot-3, 210-pound junior quarterback Terrell Williams, the plan is to return the Eagles to postseason play. However, there are obstacles to overcome. \”When I was young Edison had great teams. Edison traditionally has an outstanding program,\” Weller said. \”I never use the term \’rebuilding,\’ but they graduated some outstanding players in 2005. \”We will have a new offensive and defensive scheme with a lot of players who are playing positions for the first time. We\’re young and when you throw them all together, we\’re in a learning process. We can be competitive and we\’ve got talent, but first we\’ve got to learn the offense and defense.\” Weller will implement a pro-style offensive attack and a 5-2 defense, schemes he first learned as a player at Oklahoma State. He wants balanced ball movement and hopes Williams can help him achieve that goal. Williams said he wants to throw for 1,500 yards and run for 1,000. As the stepson of former high school All-America quarterback and University of Oklahoma player Angelo Hamilton, he has the pedigree. The only problem is that Williams has never played quarterback before; he lined up at wingback as a sophomore. \”I want to play quarterback because I can control the game,\” said Williams. \”I think I can mold into a quarterback and help us win some more games this season. The biggest thing is our new coaches and learning new plays. \”I think our varsity has bonded this year and we know each other better. I think we will be playoff bound. I feel good about this year and I feel good about our coaching staff. I\’ve always been able to throw the ball.\” Williams said the fact that both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have already shown interest in him will serve as motivation. Weller said he has complete faith in Williams to guide the Eagles. \”He\’s an outstanding athlete and a great runner. He\’s improving every day on his passing skills,\” Weller said. \”We\’re excited to have him here. It doesn\’t matter who we play, he\’ll be one of the best athletes on the field.\”” |

Daryel Scott, a starter at defensive back last year at Robinson, will play for Hillsborough next fall, Robinson coach Mike DePue said Friday. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Scott is a rising senior. “It’s a legitimate transfer,” DePue said. “His parents moved into Hillsborough’s district. It’s not one that’s going to generate buzz concerned with special placements. I’ve talked to (Terriers coach Earl Garcia) and it’s no big deal.” But it is a big loss………………….Tampa Tribune: “He was one of our top players coming back,” DePue said. “We can’t afford to lose athletes.”What’s new: The Knights picked up a solid addition during the offseason when Daryel Scott, a defensive back, transferred to Robinson from perennial state power Miami Northwestern. DePue calls Scott a physically gifted athlete with great potential. His services will be greatly needed because Robinson simply doesn’t have a lot of depth. …………….Tampa Tribune: Daryel Scott defensive back for Robinson High was all over the field against Alonzo.
