He’s long, has huge hands, catches ball away from body, makes the tough catch, runs away from DBs. After transfer, he participated in last week and half of spring ball, by the end of spring ball was receiving quality amount of reps lining up at both outside receiver positions, came up big in 7 on 7 tournaments and league. Had a good Reebok Stack Elite Tour showing. Had a really good Texas Mini-Camp particularly in 1 on 1 drills. Great pick up for the Birdville Hawks!

News And Notes: One of the top junior skill athletes in the Cleveland area……………He transferred from Glenville to South for his junior year……………..Junior Brandon Walston is a transfer from Cleveland Glenville (yes, it goes both ways every now and then) and Gibson is very excited about what he might be able to bring to the team. “Walston is electric, he’s phenomenal,” Gibson said. “We got him from Glenville. I didn’t even know anything about the kid except that he played on muni league field near us. He showed up for our workout one day and I said, ‘Who is this kid?’ Devontae was working out for college coaches and Brandon started running routes. Brandon has been timed at 4.5 in the 40 and he can be special. He’s very elusive.”…………….Concerns: Finding a replacement for graduated RB Brian Jackson and getting a consistent passing game going with Sanders, Brown and Glenville transfer Brandon Walston
